Beverage Coverage – Frequently Asked Questions

This page answers common questions about beverage coverage, how it works, and when alcohol service is needed. If you’re ready to move forward, you can activate coverage at any time.

Activate Beverage Coverage

Why do events need beverage coverage?

At every event, someone must manage drinks, refills, setup, and cleanup. Beverage coverage ensures that responsibility is clearly assigned so hosts and venues are not managing beverage-related issues during the event.

Is beverage coverage required even if alcohol is not served?

Yes. Guests still need water and non-alcoholic beverages, and venues expect beverage areas to be staffed and managed.

Weddings & Private Events

Is beverage coverage used for weddings?

Yes. Beverage coverage is commonly used for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and wedding-related events.

Does beverage coverage replace a traditional wedding bar?

Beverage coverage replaces the service layer of a traditional bar. When alcohol is served, licensed bartenders are included as part of coverage.

Can we have a dry wedding or alcohol-free event?

Yes. Beverage coverage works well for dry events and includes hydration and non-alcoholic beverage service.

Can alcohol be added later?

Yes. Many weddings activate beverage coverage first and enable alcohol service later once details are finalized.

Corporate, Community, and Other Events

Is beverage coverage only for weddings?

No. Beverage coverage is used for corporate events, private parties, family gatherings, fundraisers, community events, and religious or dry events.

Does pricing change by event type?

No. Pricing is based on guest count and service time, not the type of event.

Can beverage coverage work for daytime or short events?

Yes. Beverage coverage can be activated for shorter service windows depending on the event.

Alcohol Service

Is alcohol required for beverage coverage?

No. Alcohol service is optional and can be added if needed.

What does the alcohol service add-on include?

Alcohol service includes licensed bartenders, standard mixers, supplies, and alcohol service oversight during the service window.

Alcohol itself is not included.

Do you provide the alcohol?

Alcohol is typically provided by the host, venue, or caterer. Details are confirmed during planning.

What if my venue already provides mixers?

If a venue or caterer provides mixers, alcohol service details may be adjusted during planning.

Pricing & Payments

Why is pricing per guest?

Per-guest pricing allows staffing, supplies, and logistics to scale automatically with event size without custom quoting.

Are there minimums?

Minimums may apply based on guest count, service window, and location.

What does the deposit do?

The deposit locks your date and reserves beverage coverage. It is applied toward your final total.

Will I know the final price before the event?

Yes. Final pricing is confirmed after a brief review and before the event.

Planning & Changes

What if my guest count changes?

Guest count changes are common. Coverage details are finalized during planning prior to the event.

What if my schedule changes?

Service times can be adjusted before the event as long as staffing availability allows.

How far in advance should I activate coverage?

Activating earlier ensures availability, but coverage can often be activated close to the event date depending on demand.

Venues & Coordination

Do you work directly with venues?

Yes. Beverage coverage is designed to integrate with venue requirements and reduce venue staff involvemenWill venues accept this model?

Yes. Most venues prefer beverage coverage because responsibility for drinks is clearly assigned.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Required licensing and insurance are maintained for beverage and alcohol service where applicable. All of our documents are kept current and stored with Event Risk Compliance.
